Voluntary Instalment Plan
If you have received an infringement notice for $200 or greater (except for infringements issued under a local law), you can apply to pay by instalments of $60, or if you have received an infringement notice issued under a local law that is $150 or greater, you can apply to pay by instalments of $60.
This is called a Voluntary Instalment Plan.
Instructions on how to apply for a Voluntary Instalment Plan are on the back of the infringement notice that was issued to you.
If you have lost your infringement notice you should contact the organisation that issued it to you and obtain further advice.
After you have applied for a Voluntary Instalment Plan and made your first payment, the remainder of your unpaid fine will be lodged with SPER for management. SPER will send you a Voluntary Instalment Payment notice telling you when, where and how you can pay the remaining instalments.
If you do not keep up to date with your payment schedule the unpaid amount of your fine will be registered for enforcement by SPER and a $52.00 registration fee added. Once this has happened you will be required to pay the unpaid portion of your fine and the registration fee to SPER or face enforcement action.
If you are having trouble making any payment you should contact SPER at least one day before the next payment is due so that you can discuss other options before enforcement action is taken against you.
